Check it out: "I wanted there to be a contemporary element to the story. The idea of a fish out of water, an exotic Asgardian coming to present-day Earth, was important to me. We also wanted family dynamics to be at the centre of things. We looked at relationships in a way that is paralleled by Biblical stories: deadly sibling rivalry, parents at war with children, the isolation of the tight royal circle. Shakespeare's treatment of familial problems endured by the rich and powerful was also an inspiration." Film is set to hit theatres on May 6, and stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins and Natalie Portman. |
