| Paramount Pictures Reportedly Developing THE BOYS With Adam McKay |

Fans of the Garth Ennis and Darick Roberson comic book series were saddened earlier this year to learn that Columbia Pictures had abandoned their plans to bring The Boys to the big screen. Adam McKay (The Other Guys) had signed up write and direct the adaptation which was described as, "a $100 million, rated-R, anti-superhero movie," back in March 2011 when he first signed up. However, it turns out that there is hope for the project yet.

The Tweet has since been deleted by McKay, but as you can see, it can still be viewed on the timeline of the fan who expressed his disappointment about the film seemingly no longer being developed. The Boys was originally published by Wildstorm before moving to Dynamite Entertainment. The series is set between 2006-2008 in a world where superheroes exist.
