Breaking news out of Paramount Pictures tonight as they've just officially announced the release dates for a number of their upcoming films, including the date for Tom Cruise's next impossible mission.
The Chris McQuarrie-directed Mission: Impossible 6 will arrive in theaters on July 27, 2018, which is coincidentally the same weekend the previous installment, Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation, made its critically acclaimed debut back in 2015. The film ultimately grossed over $682 million worldwide, so there are high hopes for the upcoming sequel.
On a related note, the date is already slated for an untitled DC Film (heavily rumored to be Aquaman) from Warner Bros., but it's now increasingly likely that one of the two films will ultimately shift dates and with production on The Flash at a bit of a crossroads at the moment, there is always a possibility that the James Wan-directed sea adventure now moves up to fill the gap.
