The job of a motion picture still photographer is capture an iconic image. One photograph which tells the whole story of the movie. From posters to official stills to even the promotional image on your popcorn box, there is a still photographer responsible for that. One of the best in the business is Ron Phillips. He has netted some of the most unforgettable images in film history, like John Travolta in a 10 gallon hat for Urban Cowboy. An image that became an extremely popular poster for fans of the actor. Who more than likely pinned it to their walls and gazed at it just before they went to sleep (my sisters did). We on the other hand know Ron best for snapping the first official image of Anne Hathaway as Catwoman. He is also responsible for that haunting snapshot of Batman's broken cowl lying on the ground.
