Star Wars will be released on Blu-ray for the first time next week in the US, (it's already out in the UK and Ireland) but along with the release comes more of George Lucas' infamous tweaking and tinkering as he updates and adds scenes and special effects to certain parts of his movies. This won't be the first time of course. For previous DVD releases Lucas has done the same, the most fan blasted moment so far being the "Greedo shoots first" moment from the first Star Wars. Something done to tone down Han Solo's ruthlessness in an effort to make the movie more kid friendly. Many of the other tweaks were fine -added special effects, clearing up the picture etc - were generally accepted even though they were still viewed as a bit unnecessary.
