Pom Klementieff Teases An Awkward Mantis And Romance With Drax In GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 |

We've only seen her in a few brief trailer scenes, but the newest member of the Guardians of the Galaxy, Mantis (played by Pom Kelementieff), has made quite an impression with fans. The character will be introduced as an attedant to Kurt Russell's Ego the Living Planet when she meets the team - in fact, she's spent her whole life with him. "So, she's an alien. And she's always with — at the beginning, she's spent her life with Kurt Russell's character," Klementieff told Mashable. "She was pretty lonely and then she meets the Guardians and...that's it. She has empathetic powers, so it's connected with feelings and emotions.
In yesterday's character report, Mantis was described as "very naive", something that Klementieff says stems from her time in isolation.
