On the last episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. we discovered that Director Mace wasn't actually an Inhuman at all, and had been "juicing" himself up with doses of super-serum to give him his enhanced strength.
As a result, Coulson is once again calling the shots, and he has a plan to get some intel on Senator Nadeer while she's focused on Daisy's signing of the Sokovia Accords - much to the chagrin of General Talbot.
