Variety reports that Relativity Media and Hasbro have hired Dean Georgaris (Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life, The Manchurian Candidate) to write the planned big screen version of Stretch Armstrong. The film (based on the popular toy) is being lined up as a potential new franchise and will apparently be developed as a, "plausible, action-oriented family pic than a live-action cartoon that'd be strictly for kids." Twilight star Taylor Lautner was attached to star when the property was with Universal and it is unknown whether that will still happen.
