While their following on Facebook is still quite small, the guys over at Marvel Cinematic Universe seem very up to date on all things Marvel Studios related, so it's not a stretch to believe they may indeed have heard something. As with any rumor, take it with a pinch of salt...
Insider news: Benedict Cumberbatch of the BBC's "Sherlock" is being looked for an unknown role in a future Marvel Studios film.
With filming currently well underway, it's highly unlikely that this has anything to do with The Avengers, so could Marvel Studios be looking at Cumberbatch for a character like Doctor Strange or Ant-Man? With the success of Sherlock and the recent news that the actor had joined the cast of The Hobbit, it wouldn't be a huge shock for them to give him a leading role!
