We recently learned that Viggo Mortensen and Javier Bardem were rumored to be up for the lead role of Roland Deschain in the upcoming Dark Tower trilogy, being directed by Ron Howard, which is perfectly fine with most fans. Now, there are rumors about the lead female role. The NY Post kept it short and sweet in this rumor saying only
"That "Pirates of the Caribbean" beauty Naomie Harris is being considered for the female lead in the Ron Howard's eagerly anticipated "Dark Tower" trilogy."
The actress can also be seen in Danny Boyles' 28 Days Later... and James McTeigue's Ninja Assassin.
Stephan King has always thought that Angela Bassett, who can be seen in this year's Green Lantern as Amanda Waller, was a perfect fit for the role of Susannah Dean, but her age may keep that casting from happening. I'd keep this labeled as a rumor for now, but it's |
