So a scooper over at Latino Review reckons Shane Black's Iron Man 3 might just be based, at least in part, on the incredibly popular "Extremis" story-line from the comics. They say they can't go into too much detail but what follows is what they do tell us..
Nanobots, people!
- Nanobots that make villains
- Nanobots that can also make Tony Stark more than a man in a suit.
- Which is an idea planted in Tony Stark’s head by Captain America in THE AVENGERS because Avengers leads directly into Iron Man 3.
- Production on Iron Man 3 starts in May.
Now although "nanobots" are not necessarily specific to the Extremis story-line, I'm pretty sure that is what these guys are referencing. In that arc by Warren Ellis, Tony Stark is basically upgraded into a type of "android" himself - separate to the technology powering his suit.
