Sam Raimi's Evil Dead is a cult classic, so the news that it is being remade by Fede Alvarez has been met with a great deal of trepidation from fans. However, Raimi is seemingly very happy with how the film is coming along, telling MTV News that it is very much its own thing and, "really gut-wrenching, real low budget and intense." Oh, and Ash? He most definitely won't have any sort of role in this one despite speculation.
