While we likely won't be seeing Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow again until Avengers: Infinity War hits theatres in 2018, there's no denying the character has made a huge impact since her debut in Iron Man 2. With both Marvel Studios and WB/DC beginning to champion more female-led comic book movies, many fans have thought it's high time that Natasha Romanoff got her own spin-off.
In an interview with Variety, Johansson said she's very open to exploring the character in a solo film, as long as it fits in with what Marvel has planned. "Yeah, of course. I talked to them about it often. It would have to fit in the idea of where they want to go. I’m invested in that character. Marvel is greatly invested in that character. If I did it, I’d have to do it while I still actually wanted to wear a skin-tight catsuit. I don’t know how much longer that’s going to be."
