Scott Derrickson Would Like A More Visceral Experience In A DOCTOR STRANGE Sequel |

While it's likely we'll see Doctor Strange's next full appearance be in Avengers: Infinity War, the possibilities are endless when it comes to the future of Marvel's Sorcerer Supreme after his first film releases on November 4th.
Director Scott Derrickson confirmed to Den of Geek that he's been thinking about ideas for a sequel, given his love for the character and the source material. "I love the character, I love the visual possibilities, and I know the comics so well - [the first movie is] the tip of an iceberg. There's so much progress that can be made."
Derrickson elaborated that he'd like to explore a future villain akin to how Christopher Nolan handled the Joker and Two-Face in The Dark Knight, being able to explore that territory with the hero's origin out of the way.
