Season Three Of THE WALKING DEAD Will Consist Of 16 Episodes |

Back in October of last year, we had the official announcement that the critically acclaimed show The Walking Dead would be returning for a third season; now during the Saturday’s Television Critics Association, AMC confirmed that the new season of the zombie drama will consist of 16 episodes.
Information comes from AMC:
AMC announced today from the Television Critics Association (TCA) Press Tour in Pasadena, CA that the third season of The Walking Dead will consist of 16 episodes. Previous season orders were for 13 episodes. AMC's international broadcast partner FOX International Channels (FIC) will follow the 16 episode order and structure a similar schedule worldwide.
Season 2 of the show started on AMC last October, thirteen episodes are confirmed for the current season, with seven episodes already aired, and only six more episodes left when the show returns on February 12.
