The premise of a lot of superhero movies has the ability to leave the layman scratching his head and going huh? He did what? With what? That’s not even possible! Well yeah, its not. But that’s the whole point of Comic Book Characters isn't it? The ability to create something or someone phenomenal with your imagination. The idea of Super Heroes and powerful rings that can construct anything are not ridiculous nor are they silly. It’s the translation and execution of these concepts onto the big screen that becomes tricky. That is where Green Lantern failed (IMO). Not because its "lame", but because they failed to do it justice. I will admit I was skeptical about seeing Captain America especially because of the embargo placed on it.
