Sony Developing Yet Another Take On DRACULA |

Harker, Last Voyage Of The Demeter, Dracula: Year Zero - and now we can add Sony's version to the mix while we are at it.

Sony Pictures has acquired a pitch from scribe Jason Keller for a period origin story on the Dracula mythology that will be produced by Joe Roth and Palak Patel.
All that is known about the movie so far is that it's Sony's intention top "launch a period franchise". The origin story may also suggest a take on the story of Vlad The Impaler and the events that led him to become a vampire. Don't get me wrong, I love a good Dracula movie - the emphasis on good - but what else needs to be/can be done with the story?
