Deadline is reporting that Sony Pictures will be distributing MGM‘s Robocop. Which is a remake of the 1987 film that was directed by Paul Verhoeven and starred Peter Weller. The remake will star Joel Kinnaman, who is best known for his work in The Killing.
The remake will be directed by acclaimed Brazilian filmmaker Jose Padilha, who is best known for his two Elite Squad films. They were huge box office hits.
