Michael Keaton will be making a long-awaited return to the world of comic book movies when he portrays the villainous Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming next year. Keaton is well-known for not liking a lot of attention, so it was exciting for fans to see the actor accept such a high-profile, superhero-related role so long after his turn as the very first cinematic Batman in 1989.
In an interview with Deadline about his role as Ray Kroc in The Founder, Keaton analyzed how the landscape of superhero films has changed since his time as the Dark Knight, which led to a quick discussion about working on the Marvel film. "I have thought about the way things have changed, because I just did Spider-Man, and Marvel? That is one well-oiled machine. It is remarkable how they have got that whole thing covered in a really qualitative way."
