According to Variety, the big-screen adaptation of Steven King's The Dark Tower has hit another major setback, as Warner Bros. have decided to pass on the project. Only last week we brought you the news that the studio had commissioned a new script, and Russell Crowe was even said to have shown interest in the lead role of Roland "The Gunslinger" Deschain should the movie be greenlit. But they were also expected to make a final decision on that in the coming weeks - and it looks like they have.
WB are the second major studio to pass on what was planned to be a cross-platform adaptation of King's epic series of novels, spanning a movie trilogy and a tv series too.
