Sunspot Was Almost A Part Of X-Men: First Class! |

Bleeding Cool have a very interesting interview with Mathew Vaughn in which he discusses the journey he underwent to get his mutant prequel going and the process involved. Much of it is worth reading but the one thing that caught my attention was the following..
"The X-Men we used were already chosen by Bryan and Fox. In the draft they gave me all of the characters were in there. We cut Sunspot because we didn’t have enough time or money. They couldn’t make him work, he was a pain the ass."
So Singer was trying to get one of the New Mutants in to this new original team of X-Men. I personally always liked Sunspot(Robert Da Costa) and think that character might have a been a cool addition to the team, but of course the fanboy in me would also want the New Mutants to be, well..
