Super 8 Fails To Topple Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2 At The UK Box Office! |

Once again holding off the competition, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 managed to beat new releases Super 8 and Mr Popper's Penguins at the UK box office this week, pushing Captain America: The First Avenger down to #4.
Pulling in an impressive £2.8 million, Deathly Hallows: Part 2 is now the most successful UK release of 2011, having grossed £62 million since being released. It's not all bad for the Marvel Studios superhero though. At nearly £1.5 million, Captain America held on to a place in the top 5, and every little helps in ensuring the movie makes enough to get a sequel!
With the release of Rise of the Planet of the Apes on Thursday (so far heavily promoted here) and Cowboys & Aliens next week, how much longer will Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 hold on to the top spot? Read more: |
