SUPERGIRL Executive Producer Debunks Theory That Tyler Hoechlin Will Play Cyborg SUPERMAN |

With the news that Cyborg Superman would be making his live action debut on the CW's Supergirl, speculation has been rampant about who would portray the character. A popular theory among fans has been that Tyler Hoechlin, who played Superman in the first two episodes of this season, would return to play the robotic doppelganger. Unfortunately, it seems that fans will have to continue to wait for Hoechlin to don the red and blue outfit again.
“Cyborg Superman is not [being played by] Tyler Hoechlin,” said executive producer Andrew Kreisberg to TV Line. “We’d love to have him back, but right now, we’re still trying to figure out what we’re going to do for the rest of the season. We loved working with him, he’s amazing in the part and we’d be lucky to get him back.”
