It has long been rumored that Cillian Murphy would reprise the role of Jonathan Crane (Scarecrow) in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises. There were even a few (still unconfirmed) scene descriptions which detailed what part he may play in the proceedings. But the actor himself has remained tight lipped whenever he has been asked about it in interviews. Now it seems the evidence is pretty cut and dry - the cast members attending the European premiere of the movie are as follows..
Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Liam Neeson, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Cillian Murphy, Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine.
Since it's highly unlikely Murphy is just tagging along to hang out with his old pals from the previous movies, I think we can take this as confirmation that Dr. Crane will be back to give Bats grief in the threequel.
