Despite a brief cameo in THOR, Hawkeye was the only Avenger not to have been shown in full costume before Joss Whedon's superhero ensemble. That meant it was up to concept artist Andy Park to design his look for the big screen, although it was clear to fans that it was based on the costume designed by Bryan Hitch for The Ultimates.
