io9 has a pretty great video of the VFX breakdown for the Joss Whedon-directed film The Avengers, coming to Blu-ray and DVD on September 25th. The video gives us a behind-the-scenes look at how all those artist at Industrial Light & Magic created some of most stunning CG shots for the film.

Along with the video, the site also had a chance to sit down and talk to Visual Effects Supervisor Jeff White, Animation Director Marc Chu and Associate Visual Effects Supervisor Jason Smith, who shared some new info on the characters and CG shots.
