I think the premiere episode(s) of "The Cape" were pretty damn entertaining. Yes some of it is blatantly copying Batman, but there are very few superheroes who are truly original, so that can be forgiven. Plus I am a hardcore Bats fan, so if I can look past it, I think the casual viewer should too. The appeal of the show rests in its fun. It doesn't take itself too seriously...at all. It has a lot of heart and makes an honest attempt to do a good job while maintaining the wonder of the concept, and also not getting to heavy on us. As most of you probably know by now, the show centers around the main character of Vince Faraday who is a Palm City Police Sgt, a good cop in a bad town (Commisioner Gordon anyone?).
