| THE DARK KNIGHT RISES: Warner Bros. Cancel Future Cast Appearances In Mexico And Japan |

Following the shocking events in Aurora, Colorado which saw gunman James Holmes go on a shooting rampage during a midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises, Warner Bros. has put a stop to all future appearances of the cast and crew from the film. The premiere in Paris was understandably cancelled yesterday, although this announcement means that director Christopher Nolan and stars Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway and Joseph Gordon Levitt will not be taking part in the planned press conference or red carpet events on Monday at Mexico City's National Auditorium. However, fans invited to the screenings in Mexico and Japan will still be able to attend, as will any promotion winners. Details as to why the shooting (which left 12 dead, and 38 injured) took place still aren't clear, although Colorado authorities are today undertaking a series of "controlled detonations" in Holmes' booby-trapped apartment.
