So Smallville is finally over. First, I'd like to point out that going ten years is amazing. It is the longest running sci-fi series in North America, and no comic book show has ever done what Smallville has done and frankly, none will probably ever do it again.
Some of the writing was fantastic. The romance in the finale between Lois and Clark was better than a majority of chick flicks that I've seen. I was disappointed that it still took seven years for Lois and Clark to get married AFTER their ceremony, but that first hour was amazing.
But Smallville usually has issues when it comes to build up and actually delivering. The season 9 fight between Clark and Zod was very rare, and probably only happened because they both fought without super powers, which means it didn't cost a fortune per punch. Read more: |
