UPDATE: Ben Affleck Confirms That THE BATMAN Will Be The Title Of His Standalone DCEU Film |

Well, it looks like the rumours were true! In an interview with The Associated Press for his new film The Accountant, actor Ben Affleck confirmed that his solo film as the Dark Knight will indeed be titled The Batman.
"The movie, I think, is going to be called The Batman," Affleck said. "I think that's what we're going with now. I might change it. That's about it, that's all I got. We're working on the script, it's going well, I'm really excited about it, and I assure you, if anything develops, you'll hear about it."
The title makes sense for a back-to-basics approach for the DC hero, and while we still don't know an exact release date for the film, Time Warner CEO Jeff Bewkes recently hinted that it will probably commence production in about a year and a half.
