MGM's Roger Birnbaum Gary Barber, New Line's Toby Emmerich and Warner Bros. Alan Horn today announced that Warner Bros. Pictures will handle international theatrical and video distribution responsibilities on MGM's behalf for Peter Jackson's highly anticipated adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Hobbit".
