Transformers: The Last Knight will be director Michael Bay's fifth movie in that franchise, and regardless of the critical reception to them, they've all been massive box office successes. So, surely the filmmaker is being courted to work on a big superhero movie, right? Well, during an interview with Collider, Bay made his feelings on the genre clear and it doesn't sound like he has too much interest.
However, it's not because he isn't a fan! "I really liked Civil War. I like a lot of the Marvel movies," Bay said. "When I saw Iron Man, it broke a lot of new ground for me, and it was a great character. Funny, witty, I liked that about it." However, he added that he does, "wonder where [superhero movies] are going to go," due to the fact that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Captain America: Civil War have, "almost the same setup."
