Originally expected to be released in the summer of 2012, the status of a sequel to Star Trek (which was a hit with fans, critics and at the box office) is pretty uncertain, despite the belief that a script is currently being worked on. Director J.J. Abrams is expected to return, but that also is far from confirmed. Recently, actor Zachary Quinto stopped to chat about the status of the sequel, speculating where he thinks it'll go in future and what he actually knows of its current status.
