When Warner Bros. announced that the six minute prologue for The Dark Knight Rises would be shown only in 70MM IMAX theaters, many fans realised that they would be unable to check it out for themselves. The closest screen to me is over 200 miles away and as desperate as I am to see it, it’s simply not worth the time and expense of travelling such a distance. So, when a bootleg version turned up a couple of days ago, of course I was going to watch it. How I wish I hadn’t. I’m not sure what was worse. The low quality version which made the masked face of Bane look like one big black blob or the one that cut off half the screen and was out of sync with the audio.
