Talking to The Playlist, directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor have revealed that both they and Nicolas Cage are "intrigued" by the opportunity to return to the world of Ghost Rider for a third instalment in the franchise. "There's been talk about [a sequel]," Neveldine confirmed, revealing that they have already met with the studio. "I know Nic[olas Cage] wants to do it, he's very pumped about it. We'll just to see how well [this] does." While there has already been talk of a sequel to The Amazing Spider-Man sequel being released in 2014, it's understandable that Sony want to wait and see exactly how well Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance performs at the box office when it goes on release this Friday.
