Sony has acquired the movie rights to the Platinum Studios graphic novel which tells the story of David Paxton, a man sent to a Texas prison that's secretly run by vampires. Just a year ago, the rights were with Aurora Productions who hired Saw and Insidious director, James Wan to oversee the adaption. However, nothing materialized and the rights are now in the possession of Sony Pictures. The latest script was written by actor/writer, Peter Woodward.
Earlier this year, Brown stated that he has little involvement with the film adaption but did state that he would love to see Samuel L. Jackson cast as the Warden.
We'll have to wait and see if Sony will have more luck than Aurora did getting this project off the ground.
